National French Week 2025 Overview

National French Week is an annual celebration organized by the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF). This year, it will take place from November 4-10, 2025. 

The theme for 2025 is "Design your future with French".

During National French Week, schools, communities, and AATF chapters across the U.S. participate in various activities to promote the French language and francophone culture. There are contests, arts and crafts, cuisine events, music and dance performances, and much more.

Explore these performance-driven and community-centered activities to bring French Week to life!

🎭 1. “Design Your Future” Student Showcase

• Invite students to create short presentations or Padlet posts on how French connects to their future careers (e.g., fashion, diplomacy, AI, culinary arts).

• Use Flipgrid for video reflections in French: “Comment le français peut-il m’aider à réaliser mes rêves?”

🧪 2. Francophone STEAM Day

• Highlight francophone inventors, scientists, and tech innovators.

• Create an instructional module with interactive tasks (e.g., decoding French tech terms, building a mini–Art Deco structure).
